FIXUP Solution®

A next-generation fixative designed to preserve tissue for in vitro diagnostics — without formaldehyde.

FIXUP Solution is a formaldehyde-free in vitro diagnostic fixative designed to replace 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin. Its chemical composition comprises safe materials that comply with current safety and environmental standards.

FIXUP Solution penetrates tissue more quickly yet fixes more gently than formalin, minimizing tissue damage for more precise histological reading. It also preserves DNA at levels comparable to 70% ethanol fixation — significantly outperforming 10% NBF — enabling H&E, immunohistochemistry, and molecular diagnostics from a single fixative.
